Arc Unveils Its Most Affordable Electric Boat Yet: The 24-Foot Arc Coast

Electric boating just got a bit more accessible. Arc, the startup known for pushing the boundaries of electric watercraft, has introduced its newest creation: the Arc Coast. At a starting price of $168,000, it’s the most budget-friendly option from the company so far — and it’s already available for preorder, with deliveries slated for 2026.

What sets the Coast apart? For starters, it’s a classic “center console” boat — a style popular among fishing enthusiasts for its practical layout. This is Arc’s third model since the company burst out of stealth mode just four years ago. It follows two premium offerings: the exclusive $300,000 Arc One and the $268,000 Arc Sport (which I had the chance to take for a spin earlier this year).

But Arc isn’t stopping there. The company recently revealed plans to develop an electric tug boat for the Port of Los Angeles, underscoring founder and CEO Mitch Lee’s bold vision to electrify all kinds of watercraft, from leisurely day boats to heavy-duty harbor workhorses.

Under the hood, the Coast packs the same punch as the Sport, sporting a 226kWh battery pack that’s roughly the same size. This powerhouse lets the boat run for hours — think four to five hours or more, depending on how often you tap into its 400 horsepower. Speed-wise, it can hit up to 50 miles per hour, and it comfortably fits up to 10 passengers, making it a great option for family outings or fishing trips.

The biggest change from the Sport — aside from the price — is the layout. True to its “center console” name, the helm is right in the middle, which opens up the deck and lets people move around more freely along the sides. And as you’d expect from Arc, the build quality looks top-notch. When I checked out the Sport earlier this year, the fit and finish felt polished and premium, and the Coast seems to carry that same attention to detail.

One other highlight is the boat’s onboard software. The screens at the helm are clean and simple but packed with useful information, making navigation and control feel intuitive and modern.

Of course, there are plenty of perks to electric boats beyond just the cool factor — no gas fumes, no need to winterize, and way less noise. Sure, the price tag might still make you do a double-take, but with the Coast coming next year, it’s easy to imagine this new wave of electric boats winning over more enthusiasts who want to trade in the gas for clean, quiet power.
